To be able to carry a bike on your 2008 Honda Pilot you will need to use a hitch bike rack, like the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75599, which is a custom fit for your 2008 Honda Pilot. This is a Class III hitch with a 350 lbs. tongue weight capacity and would work great with a 3 bike rack. I have included a video link showing installation of the hitch on a similar vehicle, as well as the installation instructions.

With that hitch installed, you can add the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63365. This rack folds down to give you access to the rear hatch of your vehicle. It has a weight capacity of 105 lbs. and can carry 3 bikes. I have included a video link of this hitch bike rack below.
