Will Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness HM48925 Work with a 2005 Dodge Ram and LED Lights
Question:
2005 Dodge Ram 2500 - stock wiring on the truck uses a separate wire for stop/turn/tail - 3 wire set up. I need to convert to a 2 wire setup compatible with led only bulbs. Will this convertor do the trick?

Expert Reply:
Yes, converter # HM48925 will work for your 2005 Dodge Ram and the LED lights you have. On the input side of the converter the white wire is ground, yellow is left turn signal, green is right turn signal, brown is running lights, and red is brake lights.
If your Ram has a 7-Way trailer connector then another option to get it to work with LED lights on a trailer or other item is to use a special adapter # C35FR which has load resistors to create more draw so the tow vehicle computer thinks there are incandescent bulbs connected.
