Installation And Operation Of Front Mounted Winch On 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Question:
I have a 2010 Chevy 6,6 diesel with two batteries, does it matter what battery the Superwinch Tiger Shark winch is connected to? Also do you sell the front receiver for this truck/winch. Do you need to keep the engine running while using he winch?

It does not matter which battery the Superwinch Tiger Shark series winch you mentioned is connected to in your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Diesel. The batteries are run in series so you have better cracking amps, but which battery you connect to won't affect any accessories. I suggest runing the engine while using the winch because the alternator will help give you more power and it will keep your batteries from draining and preventing start-up.
For the front receiver, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver 2", # 65050, which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle. There is no drilling required for this installation, but fascia trimming is required. If you have a front license plate, it will need to be relocated and I recommend using the Front Mount Trailer Hitch License Plate Relocation Bracket, # 5443.
We do have backets for this receiver mount, and I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Electric Winch Mount Plate, # C31010. You may also be interested in the Curt Trailer Hitch Winch Mount Handles, # C31005.
For a quick connect and disconnect you may be interested in the Bulldog Winch Quick-Connect Set w/Dust Cover - 175 A - 2 gauge # BDW20133.
For security, I recommend the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - 2-5/8" Span, # 63232, which will keep your investment safe as well as give you a quieter ride.
