Trailer Brakes Are locked Up And Brake Controller Red light Stays On
Question:
After installing the brake control and all the connectors 7 way. The trailers brake is constantly on and the trailer is stuck. The red light in the brake control is also constantly on too. The reverse lights and the brake lights in the trailer are working perfectly but the trailer is stuck with the brakes on. What am I doing wrong? I have a Nissan Frontier 2007.

It sounds like you have the red wire from the brake controller attached to the wrong side of the stoplight switch.
You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and attach the red wire from the brake controller to the side of the stoplight switch that shows power ONLY when the brake pedal is pressed.
If that is not the problem, you will want to check the breakaway switch to make sure it is not activated.
