Manual Control Does Not Work On Brake Controller Installed On 1999 Ford F-350
Question:
I have a 1999 Ford F350 and the controller functions normally with brake pedal except the manual control doesnt appear to do anything. The light stays green and no noticeable power is applied to brakes.

I called my contact at Tekonsha about your Voyager Brake Controller, part # 39510.
They told me they rarely see this problem but there is not a fix for it and the brake controller will need to be replaced. They said there is a malfunction inside the controller causing the problem.
If you need to replace the controller I recommend the P2, part # 90885. This is our most popular because it is easy to install and operate. For a new plug-in adapter I recommend part # 3035-P.
