Weight of Ultra-Fab Hitch Dirt Bike Carrier with Ramp UF48-979033
Question:
How much does the UF48-979033 weigh when assembled?
asked by: Randy R
Expert Reply:
The shipping weight of the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979033 Motorcycle Carrier with ramp is 51-lbs, which includes all of the packing materials required for safe transport. The carrier itself when assembled will weigh in right at about 49-lbs.
This ramped carrier provides a 500-lb load capacity and fits 2-inch hitches. Both the hitch and the vehicle it is on must be rated to handle the combined tongue weight (TW) of the carrier and the motorcycle loaded on it. The hitch will have a sticker to indicate its capacity and the vehicle owner's manual should indicate its own TW rating.
Please refer to the linked video for more on this high-capacity steel motorcycle carrier.
