Using Trailer Wiring Harness and Converter for Third Brake Light on 2015 GMC Sierra Camper Shell
Question:
I put in a 7 way splitter to install extra back up lights, and now I want to wire in my 3rd brake light from my contractor cap. Can i use a tail light converter off the splitter I already installed? I dont want to splice into the factory wiring.

What you can do on your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 is use converter # 118158. On the input side you would connect the combined left turn/brake light to the yellow wire and the combined right turn/brake to the green wire. The white wire will ground to the vehicle frame. Then on the output side the red wire would be brake light only, yellow and green would be turn signals only but you can cap those off and stow them out of the way.
