For your 2017 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed, I recommend the TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack for Toyota Tacoma - Over-the-Cab Extension - 800 lbs, # TH27000XT-XK4EX, if you have the deck rail system. This rack is a sturdy, rustproof aluminum lader rack with the extra protection over the cab of you truck. It has slotted crossbars that allow you to easily mount and adjust accessories as needed.
