Can Miro-Flex, Mini Star Marker Light # MCL17CAB Be used on a European Motorcycle Trailer

Question:

I have a trailer that I am using behind a Goldwing motorcycle. It has a European lighting system so it needs separate turn signals. Can I use these and the MCL17CAB amber lights as turn signals? They are the perfect size and look, I just need to know if they would function.

Both the Sealed, Miro-Flex, Mini Star Marker/Clearance/ID Light, Chrome Cover, # MCL17CAB, and # MCL17CRB, both use one wire for power to the light and another wire as the ground so they should work on your trailer. You will just have to make sure the wiring in the trailer and the electrical system in the bike can handle the 0.047 amps at 12.8 volt draw per light.

You may also need a third light for running lights. A European 4-Way, for example, uses 7 wires to accomplish the same functions as an American 4-Way (which only uses 4 wires). A European 4-Way will have 1 ground, 2 tail light wires, 2 turn signal wires, and 2 running light wires. So, you may end up needing 4 of the red lights and just 2 of the amber lights.
