Available Widths of 15-Inch Trailer Wheels

Question:

Looking for a spare trailer wheel. The wheels I have on the trailer are 15inch 5 by 4.5 bolt hole pattern but the rim is 7inch in width. Everything that you have looks like it is only 6inch wide. Can a person buy a rim that is 7 inches wide? Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The width of a trailer wheel is measured at the bead seat, which will always produce a narrower dimension than the overall total width of the wheel from edge to edge. It is likely that you have a 15 x 6-inch wheel. We do not have 7-inch-wide 15-inch rims.

On the linked page you can view all 15 x 6-inch trailer wheels which are available in steel and aluminum in a variety of finishes. Wheels are also made with different amounts of offset, which move the tire center closer to or further from the wheel center. For instance, part # AM20504 is a conventional steel trailer wheel with 1/2-inch positive offset which move the tire center closer to the trailer than the wheel center.
