Weight Capacity On Rhino Rack Aero Roof Rack Crossbar 71 Inches Long

Was wondering what the load capacity is on these bars before any significant deflection. Im interested in these because I want them to span a 6foot wide cargo trailer.

I reached out to my contact at Rhino Rack and we discussed your application. The weight rating they give is normally based on the capacity of the roof of the vehicle they are going on because the crossbars can handle over 300 lbs. Significant deflection would be based on the roof capacity before the bars would be significantly impacted.

I went ahead and asked about what towers and parts would make sense for your application. I recommend the Camper Shell Mounting Points for Rhino-Rack RLT600 Roof Rack Legs - Qty 4, # RRQMCM01, to mount to your cargo trailer creating fixed points for the legs and 4 pads to protect your roof from scratches. Installation hardware is included in this kit.

For the Legs, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - RTC and RT Roof Rack Tracks - Qty 4, # RRRLT600. These 4 legs let you attach the crossbars # RRVA180B to your mounting points and locking covers secure the entire system to your roof. The capacity of these legs per pair is 110 lbs. This would be the capacity limiting point of your roof rack system so you will have to determine the weight resting on each bar when you span the rack.
