Anti-Rattle Device Recommendation for 1-1/4 inch Hitch with 2 inch Hitch Adapter Installed
Question:
I have a Yakima big daddy bike rack that fits perfectly with my Grand Cherokee Jeep 2inch hitch. We also have a 2008 Solara and since they dont have a 2inch hitch for it I purchased a 1 1/4 hitch and a 1 1/4 - 2inch adaptor. My bike rack fits the adaptor perfectly and tightly thanks to an anti-rattle lock that expands inside the adaptor. However Im still getting an abundance of rattling between the adaptor itself, which is solid where it fits into the 1 1/4inch hitch on the Solara. So... Id like some ideas to address that issue, perhaps an anti-rattle lock that doesnt require a hollow into the hitch if there is any such thing. The adaptor is solid at the end... Thanks in advance.

Since the shank of the adapter is 1-1/4 inch you would have to use an anti-rattle device like the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch part # RM-061-125 which will wedge the adapter tight against hitch.
