5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Install Kit for a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually
Question:
Hello I have a 2004 Dodge ram 3500 Dually that had a fifth wheel hitch previously in it. it is already drilled out but my question is how they have it set up is they go straight through the frame rails versus using the brackets should I use the existing holes or

There have been 5th wheel installation kits that at least in part bolted directly to the frame. But I strongly advise going with a new install kit with brackets so the force applied to the installation kit components is spread out over a larger area compared to just a bolt.
For a custom kit I recommend # C16420-204. You will not have to drill into the truck frame to install the brackets. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
