Why Are Pontoon Boat Trailer Guide Ons Smaller than Other Boat Trailer Guide Ons

Why are the 24inch guides better than the 60inch on a pontoon. My boat is 22ft.

Due to the nature of pontoon boat trailers and the fact that pontoon guides like the part # CE27671 mount vertically and not horizontally you want shorter guides.
