Recommended Anti-Rattle Adapter For 2-inch Trailer Hitch And Bike Carrier With 1-1/4 Inch Shank
Question:
I have about a 10 year old Yakima 4 bike 1 1/4inch hitch mount bike rack. I now have a SUV with a 2inch receiver hitch. I have used a extension converter but it sways a lot. Is there an adapter that would work better? I also would need the Yakima hitch bolt that would work with the 2inch receiver hitch. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The anti-rattle adapter I recommend for your bike carrier is part # RSCP.
This adapter lets you still use the Yakima 2-inch adapter for the shank of your bike carrier. I have attached a photo that shows how the adapter is attached to the trailer hitch and the shank of your bike carrier.
If you are looking for a replacement bolt for your Yakima bike rack let me know what the model of the bike carrier is and I will be glad to see if we have a replacement that will work for you. I have attached a link to the hitch bolt adapters we offer you can check out.
