Recommended Hitch and Swing-Away Hitch Bike Rack for 2015 Nissan Rogue
Question:
I have a 2015 Nissan Rogue SV and we are looking to get a hitch mounted bike rack. We are interested in a swing away bike rack, and we will need to get the hitch part as well. With so many different products out there I am wondering what would be the best product without being too expensive.

A swing-away hitch bike rack is often the best option for a biking family. Hitch racks in general are desirable since they avoid putting stress on the car's sheet metal the way trunk-mount racks do, and having a hitch means you can use other accessories like a cargo carrier. But a busy biking family often needs access to the car's cargo area and the swing-away racks allow for full access even when you're transporting a load of bikes.
The hitch I recommend is the 2-inch Draw-Tite # 75902. This hitch installs without drilling and includes all the required hardware. I have linked both a helpful article on hitch installation and a video showing this hitch installed on your same model year Rogue SV.
We have swing-away racks in several designs from different manufacturers including Soft-Ride, Yakima and Thule. All can be seen by clicking on the link provided. I suggest a rack that includes built-in locks so you don't have to worry about an additional expense of separate locks or the risk of losing them.
Yakima's FullSwing 4 Bike Rack # Y02465 features locks for the rack and for your bikes, has 25-inch long arms to provide ample space to load your bikes and it will fit quite well at the back of the Rogue.
