S Compatible Tire Chains Recommendation for Dodge Dakota with 245/70-16 Tires
Question:
I would like to put on chains with the v bars welded to the cross chains but the brochures all say the are not S rated. Can I use them with good chain tighteners and if I wire down any extra links beyond the connectors? My tires are Coopper Discoverer 245/70-16. Thanks, I have 1 mile to go through up a Pa. mountain in logging roads.

If you need S compatible snow chains V-Bar chains will not work for you as they are too tall to be compatible.
V-Bar chains are typically used in icey conditions which may not be the type of chain you would need for logging roads.
The Titan Chain # TC2319 chains will offer you the best grip with S-Class compatibility. The squae links really did in well.
