Recommended Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller for 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with Factory 7-Way
Question:
I need to install a brake controller on my 2007 chevy Silverado duramax with a factory installed 7-pin. I have a 2 axle trailer and was considering the tekonsha 39510 is this a good fit for my truck?

The Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 is a good option in a price-friendly proportional type trailer brake controller. For installation in your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with factory 7-way you will use the pigtail wiring harness # 20127 to connect the Voyager to the wiring already present under the dash.
The linked video shows the installation process in a 2008 Silverado.
If you want to upgrade to the P2 # 90885 for just a few more dollars you'll get the same proportional braking and also a digital display, compatibility with electric-over-hydraulic systems and the flexibility of mounting the P2 anywhere along a 360-degree vertical plane. The Voyager requires a tighter 90-degree vertical installation and this limits placement. The P2 is well worth the extra money in my opinion.
