Wiring Harness for a Voyager Electric Trailer Brake Controller and a 2007 Ford F-150
Question:
I would like to know the corect wiring for the voyager controler for a 2007 Ford F-150 FX-4 I used the controler on a 2002 F250 and it worked fine. I installed in in the 2007 and it does not work I think I might have shorted it out if the wiring is not the same for both trucks.

For the 2007 Ford F-150, you should have a port on the vehicle for a brake controller wiring adapter, # 3035-P, so hardwiring the controller should not be necessary. The harness will be located under the dash near the center console, and to the right of the steering wheel. I have included a link to the installation details below.
If you attempted to hardwire the controller, the wiring probably is not going to have the same color/function as the 2002 model. That is par for the course with wiring on most vehicles. You would have to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to probe the wires to determine their function.
Or, if looking at the port, the wire in the top left is brake controller output to the 7-Way, connects to blue wire on the brake controller. The pin in the middle left is for the stop light switch, goes to red wire on brake controller. The pin on the bottom left is for brake controller power and goes to the black wire on the brake controller. The pin at the top right is the ground and goes to the white wire on the brake controller.
