We offer replacement lids for 14 x 14 trailer roof vents in various colors and types. The main thing you need to take note of is the style of hinge on your vent. There are three basic types, all shown in the photo I linked for you. Once you know your hinge type - 4-point, 3-point or continuous - you can select a replacement vent lid using the page I linked for you. Knowing your vent brand will certainly help too, as will any part numbers appearing on the vent itself.
First, click on the hinge type. Next, click on the color you prefer. For example, for a continuous hinge lid in white for a Ventline unit you could use part # BV0554-01.
In terms of UV-resistance the lids are the same, but since heat is a contributor to deterioration too, a white cover that absorbs less sunlight, and which therefore does not get as hot as a darker lid would, can be a better choice. A lighter color vent lid will also tend to introduce less heat to the trailer's interior.
