Replacement 10 Inch Brake Assemblies for Kaufman Car Hauler
Question:
I have a Kaufman car hauler trailer that needs new brake shoes but I cannot tell what brand the brake assemblies are. The trailer is GVWR at 9990 lbs and weighs ~ 1700 lbs. The brake drum measures 10inch in width and 2.5 inches in depth. What is the correct part number for replacement brake shoes please.

For the cost of replacement shoes and the hassle of finding the right ones and installing them it is best to just replace the entire assembly.
Your brake assembly size of 10 inch by 2-1/2 inch is most likely the size 10 x 2-1/4 inch as that is the closest size that is actually very popular.
This size is very commonly associated with 3,500 lb axles. Which would most likely mean you have a triple axle trailer.
For a set of self-adjusting brake assemblies you would need the part # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right hand side and part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand side.
