Recommended Roof Rack System For Universal Tracks On Truck

I have a truck with a canopy with universal tracks the installer says theyll work with Yakima or Thule towers. I need to figure out what I would need to carry a Porta Bote basically a surfboard.

For your truck with universal tracks, I recommend the Thule Rack. This will include the Thule Podium Foot pack for Aero Bars, # TH460R. These feet feature a lockable outer cover with sleek, low profile styling which hides and protecs the foot interior. You may also be interested in the Thule One-Key lock system, # TH450400.

We will also need the fit kit for this foot pack, and for that I recommend the Thule Fit Kit for Podium Style Foot Pack # THKIT3101 which lets you mount Thule Podium-style legs to your vehicle with factory roof-rack tracks. The fit kit includes pads, bolts, plates and channel nuts for adapting the Podium legs for use with tracks. We will then only need the crossbars, and I recommend the Thule Wingbar Load Bars - Aluminum - Black - 60" - Qty 2, # TH711520. These bars are a durable and sturdy crossbar with an aerodynamic design to reduce noise.
