Functions of P3 Brake Controller Wire Colors

Question:

I have a Tekonsha P3 that was in my 2002 F250... Trying to put it into my new 2015 F150... the connectors do not match... I did receive a 4 wire pigtail with the ford connector on one end... but the colors are not the same as the P3. They are labeled as follows.. Ground Battery Stop Lamp To Trailer Electric Brakes I need the color for each of those on the P3 so I can splice in the new pigtail...

I can help you. On the P3 part # 90195 you will run the white wire to the ground wire of the harness, the black wire to the battery wire, the red wire to the stop lamp wire and the blue wire to the brake output circuit.
