Will The Curt RV Bumber 2 Inch Hitch Receiver And Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier Fit My 2016 Trailer?

I have a 2016 Forest River 21FBRS travel trailer with a 4inch square rear bumper that is welded to the I-beams of the frame. Will a Curt RV bumper 2inch trailer hitch receiver E-100 combined with a Unifab UF48-979033 safely cary a Yamaha 125 Vino or a Honda CB300F? If not, can you recommend any hitch/carrier combination that would work for me? Thanks,

The Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, # E-100, will fit your 4 inch RV bumper. This hitch has a 350 lb tongue weight. The Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp, # UF48-979033, has a 500 lb capacity, so the hitch receiver that will limit the you to the 350 lb capacity for your motorcycle weight.

The Yamaha Vino 125 has a weight of 240 lbs and the Honda CB300F has a weight of 348 lbs. Both of these weights are wet weights, so it accounts for all the fluids and the vehicles in running order but does not allow for any aftermarket parts. Either the scooter or the motorcycle will work with this combination on your 2016 Forest River 21FBRS travel trailer.

I reached out to Forest River and it appears that your bumper is not rated for this type of setup. While the hitch and carrier can handle your bikes, we cannot guarantee that the bumper will hold up under the weight. Forest River also said that any damage to the bumper from this setup would not be covered under warranty.

We have frame mounted RV Hitch Recievers that may or may not still be a warranty issue. Each has a tongue weight of 350 lbs with the exception of the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide, # C13702, which has a stronger tongue weight of 500 lbs. This hitch will either need to be welded or bolted to the trailer's frame.
