Underbed Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Hitch Prep Package Recommendation for 2016 Ford F-250 Short Bed

I have a 2016 f250 short bed. I am needing a frame prep package to install a fifth wheel and gooseneck ball. I can buy the factory crossmember for about 495.00 from ford. It looks alot like the Reese underbed crossmember . Are the Ford factory prep packages supplied by Reese? I see the Reese kit with crossmember , gooseneck ball, tie downs and tote bag for around 7 to 8 hundred dollars. I plan on buying the fifth wheel slider hitch later. I just want to get the very best prep package to start with. Raising the bed is no problem and I dont want to drill on frame. What do you recommend?

Essentially the Ford fifth wheel prep packages are the same as the Reese Elite hitches. For your 2016 Ford F-250 you would want the part # RP30126 for the fifth wheel rail setup. For a slider hitch you would want the part # RP30144 which fits the rail kit and then for a gooseneck hitch part # RP30138.

The hitch also comes with a 7-way to install in the bed of your truck so you would be set.
