7-Way Wiring for 2003 Ford F-350 Longbed for Lance Slide-In Truck Camper

Question:

Im looking for a plug to mount a Lance camper into the bed of my 2003 Ford F350, 8-foot bed. I have the factory towing package with the 7-pin connector on the bumper. I was referred to you by a customer who suggested C56000. After looking at the video, Im not sure thats what Im looking for. Is there an option for plugging into the factory wiring harness at the connectors under the cab and then going to the front vehicle front of the bed? Thank you.

Expert Reply:

We do have 7-way wiring harnesses intended for use in the bed of a pickup for either a slide-in camper or a 5th wheel trailer. Harness # C56000 that you referenced is a suitable option. This kit plugs right in at your bumper-mounted factory 7-way (which will remain fully active, by the way) and provides 10-feet of additional slack to let you plug in your Lance camper. This harness uses a round U.S. Car connector.

There are no similar harness options that plug-in at the front of the vehicle.

I'm happy to help with the trailer wiring for your truck, but I'll need a little more detail as to what you're needing and your specific truck model. Are you looking for a 7-Way harness to mount to the bumper, or for a separate 7-Way to use with an in-bed camper or 5th wheel trailer?
