Is There Lower Panel Trimming Required to Install Hitch on a 2016 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Hi, I am considering adding a trailer hitch to my 2016 Toyota Sienna XLE. From watching the installation videos, it looks like on the 2015 Sienna, an underbody panel gets removed and then a rectangle cut to allow for the mount to install. On the 2016 install video, that underbody panel is almost completely cut away except for the portion that can be seen from the bumper. Can you tell me why such a change from the 2015 to the 2016 install procedure? Im concerned about cutting away so much of that panel and leaving the underbody unprotected. Thanks in advance.

For the Curt hitch part # C13105 that you referenced is a fit for your 2016 Toyota Sienna. There is actually two different trim diagrams that can be used and in the videos you referenced one uses diagram one and the other uses diagram two.
