How Does a Craftec Tonneau Cover Attach to a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

description says that it clamps to the side rails, I have an 2002 explorer sport trac and they dont have side rails do to the composit box

The term side rail is referring to the tops of the bed sides. If you take a look at the picture I have included you will see the clamp in the lower right corner of the picture. It fits on the inboard side of the bed side and clamps on. If your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac bed has a straight wall that nothing can be clamped to then a Tonneau cover cannot be installed.
