2-1/2 Inch Weight Distribution Shank with the Most Drop

I purchased a new truck and am looking for a 2 1/2 in shank with a 8 inch drop. I already have a Reese weight distribution setup.

The Reese 2-1/2 inch shank is # RP54977 but only offers 5-3/4 inches of drop. The 2-1/2 inch shank with the most drop that you can use is # EQ90-02-4900 at 6 inches but it is rated for 1,600 pounds tongue weight maximum.
You could potential use a reducer sleeve, such as # C45405, and then you could use a 2 inch shank, # RP3344, which has a maximum of 7-5/8 inches drop. This shank is also rated for 1,400 pounds tongue weight. the user of the reducer sleeve could reduce the capacity of the hitch. You would need to check with the vehicle manufacturer on that if it is the factory 2-1/2 inch hitch.
