What is Needed to Install 7-Way and Brake Controller in a 2004 Chevy Colorado with 4-Way Flat
Question:
I have a 2004 Colorado that has a 4 pin connector for trailers. I wish to install a brake controller which I already have but no wiring harness as well as a 7 pin round plug. Any assistance would be appreciated as to what I need to accomplish that.

To install a 7-Way trailer connector and your brake controller in your 2004 Chevy Colorado you will just need installation kit # ETBC7. It comes with the 7-Way, retains functionality of the 4-Way, and has the wiring and other parts needed to install the brake controller. There isn't a plug-in brake controller wiring harness for your truck so the controller has to be hardwired in. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
