Will Trailer Hitch for 2016 Volvo S60 Void Warranty

Question:

Hi Ive read through and see that some people have added hitches. Does that void any warranties on the car since Volvo doesnt authorize or endorseinch any hitches. Those are my words. They just say none exist. Is there a down side to adding a hitch? What gives the best clearance and safety. I just want to use my 3 bike Thule bike rack. Thank,s P.S. No trunk racks work due to spoiler.

When you install an aftermarket part on your vehicle like a trailer hitch in this case, you are protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. This act states, in part, that unless the installation and the part caused a problem then the warranty cannot be voided. I recommend looking it up online.

For your 2016 Volvo S60 we have the Draw Tite hitch part # 75916 as a confirmed fit that would work well. It has the highest capacities and does not require a stabilizer strap like the Curt when used with a bike rack.

Only downsides to having a hitch install is typically the visual of it. Some people really don't like the way they look but most don't even notice it's there half the time.
