Can Torklift Everest Weight Distribution System be Used on I-Beam Frame Trailer
Question:
looking for weight distribution hitch assly for 2016 f350 super duty crew cab short bed that will be pulling Moritz 25 foot two axel trailer 6000 lbs with farm tractor 10000 lbs for total wgt around 16000 lbs. thinking about the torklift dual receiver with the everest wd hitch but not sure how the clamps will mount on the frame. the frame is a large I beam and not tubular so it looks like the clamps wont work ?? suggestions ??

To use the Heavy Duty Torklift Weight Distribution System, # TLWD1000, or a similar system, you will need to have a steel plate 5 or 6 inches wide welded, by an experienced welder, to box the frame where the brackets will mount
Before modifying the trailer frame you will need to check with the trailer manufacturer to see if this will create an unsafe condition, or void your trailer warranty.
For a shank you would need the part # TLM9010.
For a hitch for your 2016 Ford F-350 you would want the # TLF1002-30 which is a confirmed fit as well.
