Recommended Timbren Rear-Axle Jounce Spring Kit for 2011 Ram 3500 Dually Diesel Towing Car Hauler
Question:
2011 ram 3500 dually diesel. I will be using the truck 99 of the time to tow a 48 ft enclosed 2 car hauler total weight loaded including truck will be pushing 26000lbs. Triple axle trailer and the axles are far back on it so there is a lot of weight on the gooseneck. Truck sags like crazy. What Im installing already is the upper overload spring bumps and lower from torklift. But I wanted extra support in case a leaf spring blows. I was thinking timbrens and wanted to know which set you would recommend. I do not care for ride quality when riding without trailer as I said 99 this thing will be hauling loaded trailer. I know the standard timbrens rated at 8600lbs are recommended for most applications but do you think I could benefit more from a higher rating timbren set? Let me know your thoughts.

Expert Reply:
For your 2011 Ram 3500 dually diesel that is towing your 48-foot car hauler I suggest the Timbren kit # TDR3500CA. This kit will work with (or without) overload springs and its 8600-lb load rating means it will have the correct capacity to stiffen your rear suspension without creating new problems. The 8600-lb-rated kit # TDR3500CA will provide plenty of support to handle the substantial tongue weight of your enclosed car hauler trailer.
I do not recommend the higher-rated kit # T94VR since this is intended specifically for specialized severe-duty vehicles like tow trucks.
