Dome Light in Enclosed Trailer Not Working when Connected to a 2008 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hi, I installed the wiring harness you showed on the video on the 08 Highlander. Everything is great, except the dome light in the trailer doesnt work. The trailer is just a single axle, 6X12, no brakes cargo trailer. The light switch is connected to an led lamp that doesnt light up. Suggestions?

My first question is what is the light and switch wired to? Interior trailer lights are normally wired to a battery mounted on a trailer. If the battery is missing or dead then the light won't work.
If it isn't connected to a battery then the only other circuit that would make sense is the running light circuit. On a 4-Way that would be the one right next to the ground pin.
And it could just be a problem with a wire somewhere. Trace the wiring and fix any pinched or damaged wires as needed. And if you still are having problems then the switch could be bad or the light itself.
