It sounds like you would like to replace your current pin box with a Sidewinder. For this, you will need to find the part number and brand of the pin box on your 1993 Alpenlite 5th wheel trailer. Usually this information is on a sticker or stamped on the pin box itself. Once you have this information you can check the attached FAQ which has the correct Sidewinder to purchase based on you current pin box model. If you're not able to locate the number, you can use the pin box bolt hole measurements to determine which one you have. I have attached a link with more details on measuring a fifth wheel pin box.
If you're interested in replacing your OEM pin box with a Reese Goosebox so you're able to tow your 5th wheel trailer with a gooseneck hitch, you will need your current pin box model number as well. Once you have that you'll be able select the correct Goose Box from the following part numbers.
# RP85FR - Towing capacity: 20,000 lbs- Replaces Lippert 1621 and 1621HD
# RP94716-61301 - Towing capacity: 16,000 lbs - Replaces Lippert 0115, 1116 and 1716
Towing a 5th wheel trailer with a Sidewinder pin box using a gooseneck hitch would require an adapter, which is not recommended. Sidewinders should not be used with gooseneck to 5th-wheel adapters because they connect/rotate around the ball, resulting in loss of control. Please check out the attached link for additional details.
