Troubleshooting Carriage Bolt that Keeps Turning When Installing Draw Tite 24919

Question:

I just installed a Draw Tite hitch on my 2014 Chrysler 200 with twin exhaust pipes, when I tried to tighten one of the bolts the bolt just kept turning with the nut once it was tightened. So I could not torque it. BTW Its much harder to put on the hitch with twin pipes as there is not enough room for a torque wrench.

Sounds like the carriage bolt hasn't slid all the way down into the carriage bolt block and that is why it is just turning. You have to pull the bolt all the way through the block so that the square shoulders of the bolt slides into the square hole of the block.
