Tow Bar Wiring Recommendation for 2007 Dodge Dakota

Question:

Hello I have installed Invisibrake RM 8700 on my 2007 Dodge Dakota. I am now wiring the brake/turn wiring from the controller and from my tow vehicle. My question is where is the best place to splice into my Dakotas wiring harness? I have the controller wiring coming into the engine compartment near the fuse box. My Motorhome and my Dakota both have combined brake/turn wiring. Thank you for your help.

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.

I attached an install video on a similar Dodge truck as yours for you to check out as well.
