Height Ranges of the Erickson Extend a Truck
Question:
I have a 2008 Tacoma sb with a tool box can the extender be adjusted to carry my 12 foot kayak on top of the tool box with the rear of the yak supported by the extender

Depending on the orientation of the Erickson part # EM07605 it can install with two height ranges.
From the top of the hitch opening up the upright can install in a range of 17" and 24" when used in the lower position or from 55-1/4" and 62" when in the taller setup. You would need to measure from the top of the hitch opening to the top of your tool box to see if it falls in the range of either.
