Parts Needed to Add Disc Brakes to Lippert 6k Axles

Question:

Im interested in converting my RV drum brakes to disc. Not sure where to begin. My RV is a 2012 Heartland Elkridge 34TSRE. It was two 2 6000 pound Lippert axles. I tow the vehicle with a 2001 Ford F350 DRW Lariet 4X4 7.3 diesel. Can You provide some guidance? Thanks!

Since we know you have 6k Lippert axles I will be able to help you pick out exactly the disc brake kits that will fit. The Kodiak kit part # K2HR526D will fit your trailer axles and will work well. This is a Dacromet coated kit that will do a great job resisting rust.

If your trailer has hydraulic drum brakes currently the brake lines you currently have will fit and work well with either kit. If not for a brake kit that is 18 feet in length we have the part # 18TA-BLKIT.

I attached a help article that walks you through the process of adding disc brakes to a trailer for you to check out.
