Brake Controller Install Harness Recommendation for a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question:

I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 Crew Cab and I want the P3 with the adaptor cable. You are selling this cable P/N 3016 as the correct cable for the truck although it says it is for a 2014 Truck. My local trailer parts supplier told me the new harness for the 2016 wont be out until first week of October, What is correct for my truck?

For your 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 the correct install harness for a P3 brake controller part # 90195 is the part # 3016. The install video I attached that shows this harness being used to install a controller in a 2014 shows the exact same process you would use for your 2016.

We have confirmed this fit with Tekonsha, the manufacturer of the P3.
