Is The Draw-Tite # 36408 On A 2006 Chevy Equinox Hidden Or Fully Exposed
Question:
Will this trailer hitch for my 06 equinox be hidden behind the bumper or will it be fully exposed?

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch # 36408 that fits the 2006 Chevy Equinox will be mostly hidden underneath your bumper and rear fascia. The only part of the hitch that you can see on the rear is the receiver tube that is sticking out from under the rear fascia.
I am sending a link to the installation instructions on the Draw-Tite and I have a video link that shows a hitch being installed on a 2009 Chevy Equinox. The hitch being installed is a different part number, but the position of the hitch will be the same as the Draw-Tite and will give you an idea of what it will look like on the rear of your vehicle.
If you will be towing with this hitch you will also need the recommended ball mount and Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball # 19258 and the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness # 118391. I am sending a link to the instructions on the wiring harness and a video link of the wiring harness being installed on a 2005 Chevy Equinox.
