Improving Ground for Allowing Ultra Fab 3502 Jack to Function
Question:
I plug it in, light and motor dont work. I hook up 12 volt directly to jack 7 pin on plus and minus it works. I plug in the trailer 7 pin to check power of plug, all trailer lights, signals, brakes work as normal. I disassembled, cleaned area around bolt holes and bottom plate of jack, re install, turn on vehicle, still doesnt work. Any help would be appreciated

Expert Reply:
Sounds like maybe the ground of the trailer is not adequate. Since the jack # UF38-944017 grounds through the mounting hardware the trailer needs to have a solid ground. You can try running a jumper wire from the mounting assembly of the jack to the main ground of trailer harness and that should fix the problem.
