Along with the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar, item # RM-020, you will need a set of base plates for the 2010 Honda CR-V. The correct base plate kit for your vehicle is the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit, item # RM-521559-4. This kit will not work on vehicles with a brushguard installed on the front.

You will also need a set of Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnects, item # RM-201. These will allow you to disconnect the tow bar, cross bar from the vehicle brackets so the brackets can easily be removed.

Next, you will need safety cables to go from the base plates to the towing vehicle. The RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, item # RM-643, can be easily coiled around the tow bar for ease of installation and storage.

Finally, you will need a lighting system for the towed vehicle. The Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, item # RM-154, is the recommended system for frequent towing. This kit installs on the vehicle and when ready to tow you just plug the jumper cable in between the towing vehicle and the towed vehicle.

If you will not be towing often then you may want to consider magnetic tow lights. The Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights, item # RM-2120 just plugs into the RV and is attached via magnets to the towed vehicle. With this system you need to make sure the wiring is secured each and every time you tow the vehicle.

The above mentioned items will get you started. There are many accessories that you may find that you will want once you have started towing your CR-V. One of these accessories I like to recommend is the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening, item # RM-4700, which will help protect the towed vehicle from road debris thrown up by the towing vehicle.

I did a little research on the 2010 Honda CR-V and you will need to check with the dealer or the owners manual before towing the vehicle. There are fuses that will need to be pulled to keep the battery from being drained and there may be other parts needed to safely tow the 2010 CR-V.

We have a couple of installation videos for you to review, that should help with the installation of the base plates and wiring kit mentioned.
