How to Measure Hub Bore to Select Correct Bearing Buddy Grease Caps

Hi Could you inform me as to what size Bearing Buddies I should purchase for a 3500 lb Lippert axle ? Thank You

Bearing Buddy grease caps are selected based on the hub's bore diameter. Please see the linked photo. This measurement needs to be taken using a precision caliper like # PTW80157 to the nearest thousandth of an inch, e.g. 1.234-inches. (We have about 60 different hubs for 3500-lb axles so this is why you'll need to measure).

Once you know your hub bore diameter you can use the linked page to select the Bearing Buddy grease caps to fit them. Note that some hubs have a threaded bore while others do not. You'll need to check this too before you review available Bearing Buddy caps.

As an example, if you have non-threaded hubs whose bore measures 1.781-inches, then use part # BB1781.
