Will Reese Slider Hitch RP30051 Fit a 2016 Ram 2500 with Factory Rail Kit

Question:

Will this set up work on my truck it seems to be higher then my ford we have a 2012 crusader 29foot 11? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

To determine the hitch height needed for a fifth wheel hitch like the # RP30051 is pretty easy.

Back your vehicle under the fifth-wheel trailer stopping when the center of the king pin is directly above the center of the fifth-wheel attachment jaws. Measure from the top of the bed on the truck to the base of the pin box on the trailer. This will give you the measurement needed to select a mounting height for the fifth-wheel hitch.

To use the part # PS30094 in your 2016 Ram 2500 with factory rail kit will require you to also use the # RP30154 which adds 2 inches to the hitch height. This hitch has a height range of 13-17 inches.
