Best Solution for Reducing Sag on 2001 Nissan Xterra from Trailer Tongue Weight
Question:
What is the best suspension part for our Stock 2001 nissan xterra 4wd? We will be towing a 18foot 1977 layton travel trailer with it. dry weight is 3000 pounds . We also do a lot of off road driving. Nothing extreme, dirt roads, washboard, rough rocky roads... looking for something to keep the rear end from squatting so much with the trailer on.

Actually your best option is a weight distribution system. Not only does a WD system allow the vehicle's suspension to be more level, but since it does so by redistributing the tongue weight up to the front axle of the tow vehicle you end up with better handling and braking as well.
The Fastway E2 kit part # FA92-00-0450 would be a great option that would work well, has a tongue weight range that would work well on your trailer, and uses smaller frame brackets that would fit your trailer frame. You will need a hitch ball as well. For a 2 inch ball part # 40038. For 2-5/16 # C40007.
I attached a help article on weight distribution for you to check out as well.
