Recommended 4-Pole Wiring Harness Bracket for Tekonsha Harness 118551
Question:
Part number 118251 towing harness for ford escape 2012 In the video a mounting bracket is mentioned. I do have the mounting bracket in place from the original flat four connection, does this new harness fit into that bracket? If not, what part number is the replacement bracket? Thanks!

4-pole wiring plugs can differ in shape so the best option for installing harness # 118551 in your 2012 Ford Escape is to use the mating bracket # 18144 from sister company, TowReady.
An external bracket is handy but you may want to leave the 4-pole connector inside the vehicle for long periods of non-use, especially in winter since road salts can cause corrosion and deterioration.
You can also protect the exposed connector using dielectric grease # 11755.
