How to Select Spare Tire/Wheel for Trailer

Question:

I have a trailer with Dexstar wheels on it and I need a spare. There was a tag on the wheels and the # on it is 17-233 15x6 JJ 2830LB. Silver or white will work. I seen some wheels on your site but your # does not match. What wheel # do I need? Thank you.

We can help you select a 15 x 6-inch wheel/tire for use as a spare on your trailer.

Please refer to the linked page which shows you our 15-inch wheel/tire combination products. You'll just want to click on the filters on the page to select 1) the correct bolt pattern (please see the linked article), 2) tire size (which will appear on your current tires' sidewalls) and 3) your Load range. You can also select the wheel material (steel or aluminum) and the tire type you prefer, bias ply or radial. For example, for a ST225/75R15 radial in load range D on a 6-on-5-1/2 bolt pattern silver wheel you could use part # TA24VR from Taskmaster. For a similar item in the 5-on-4-1/2 bolt pattern use part # A225R645WM.

You will want your spare tire to match the type, size and load range of your trailer's tires. Trailer tires should always be inflated to their maximum psi pressure as noted on the tire sidewall.
