Is a Circuit Breaker Required when Installing a Brake Controller on a 2008 Cadillac Escalade

Question:

Hi, Im installing a Tekonsha P3 Brake controller to a 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT Quick question, the video of installing the P3 shows the gentleman located 2 red wires under the hood of a Escalade. On what wire would part number #38630 be installed? On what terminal on the under the hood fuse box? I see 2 there? I really appreciate it, a BIG thank you!

The short answer is neither. You will not need to use a circuit breaker when installing a brake controller on your 2008 Cadillac Escalade because it already has the wiring and fuse locations for the brake controller.

The 2 wires under the hood that attach to the studs at the front of the power distribution box are factory wires. Fuses will be installed (if not present already) in the locations closest to those studs. I have linked the video you mentioned and a help article explaining brake controller installations on GM SUVs like your Escalade.
