2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Flat-Towing Parts Recommendations
Question:
What do I need to tow the above vehicle?

Expert Reply:
To flat-tow your Hyundai Santa Fe you need 5 items. You will need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, and most states now require supplemental brake systems.
For base plates I recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, part # 1619-1. The tow bar I recommend is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520.
For safety cables I recommend part # RM-643. these are 68-inch coiled safety cables.
For lighting I recommend the Magnetic LED Tow Lights, part # TLL21RK, with part # RM-300150-00.
The supplemental brake system I recommend is the SM99251. This is a portable system. This system will apply the brakes on your Santa Fe in direct proportion to the brake action in your motorhome.
Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
You will want to check your owner's manual to see if there are any restrictions for flat-towing your Santa Fe.
